Rutland Water: Little Stint, 2 Whimbrels, Arctic Tern & adult Med Gull, Lagoon 4; Turnstone, Goldeneye hide; Short-eared Owl, Lagoon 2; 3 Red-crested Pochards, Lagoon 3; Black-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, 6 Common Sandpipers, 11 Green Sandpipers, 13 Dunlin & 9 Ringed Plovers around the reserve.

Monday 30th

Rutland Water: Turnstone, Lagoon 4; 2 Marsh Harriers, Lagoon 1; 2 Garganey & 5 Red-crested Pochards, Lagoon 3.

Sunday 29th

Rutland Water: juv Med Gull, Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpipers, 8 Dunlin & 7 Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4.

Cropston Res: Common Sandpiper on the dam.

Saturday 28th

Rutland Water: 14 Black-tailed Godwits, Lagoon 4 this evening.

South Kilworth: 3 Crossbills over at 11:25.

Friday 27th

Rutland Water: Sandwich Tern heard in South Arm this morning, then presuambly same bird on Lagoon 4 this afternoon; drake Scaup, Lagoon 1.

Thursday 26th

Rutland Water: Wood Sandpiper, Turnstone, Sanderling, Greenshank & Ruff, Lagoon 4.

Wednesday 25th

Cossington Meadows: at least 1 Whinchat still on Lower Moor this morning, but elusive.

Rutland Water: female/immature Marsh Harrier over the lagoons/North Arm late morning.

Tuesday 24th

Shangton: Whinchat by the ford on Gartree Road south-east of the village this morning.

Monday 23rd

Cossington Meadows: 2 Whinchats at the Plover Meadow end of Lower Moor this morning.

Hicks Lodge: Redstart in hedge at the top of the hill along the main track into the site from the south.

Sunday 22nd

Rutland Water: Marsh Harrier, Lagoon 3; 3 Greenshanks, 4 Dunlin, 3 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper & 10 Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4; 2 Red-crested Pochards, Lagoon 2.

Saturday 21st

Rutland Water: 2 Red-crested Pochards, Lagoon 4.

Frolesworth Manor Lake: 2 Green Sandpipers flew west at midday.

Shawell A5 Pits: 1 Common Sandpiper.

Friday 20th

Rutland Water: 2 Sanderlings, 2 Turnstones, 5+ Greenshanks, 14+ Dunlin, 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper & 12+ Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4; adult Med Gull, Lagoon 8; 27 Black-tailed Godwits over in three groups + Bar-tailed Godwit.

Thursday 19th

Rutland Water: Knot, Lagoon 4; Short-eared Owl, Lagoon 3.

Tuesday 17th

Rutland Water: Turtle Dove flew over Lagoon 1 towards Harrier hide at 10:00; 3 Greenshanks & 11 Dunlin, Lagoon 4; drake Scaup, Lagoon 1.

Sunday 15th

No news received for today.

Saturday 14th

Rutland Water: Temminck's Stint still, Lagoon 4, also 2 Sanderlings & 4 Black-tailed Godwits; Turnstone & drake Scaup, Lagoon 3; Turtle Dove, Harrier hide.

Friday 13th

Rutland Water: Temminck's Stint still from Snipe hide till 08:15, then on Lagoon 4 this evening. Wood Sandpiper, Lagoon 4 this morning at least, also Greenshank, 3 Dunlin, 3 Green Sandpipers & 4 Ringed Plovers.

Thursday 12th

Rutland Water: Temminck's Stint, Wet Meadow (Snipe hide) this evening, also 6 Green Sandpipers + Marsh Harrier on the reserve.

Welby: 1 Turtle Dove.

Wednesday 11th

Rutland Water: Little Tern, Spotted Redshank, 3 Dunlin, 2 Greenshanks, Ringed Plover & Common Sandpiper, Lagoon 4; Short-eared Owl, Lagoon 1.

Tuesday 10th

Rutland Water: 4 Arctic Terns briefly, Spotted Redshank, 2 Greenshanks, 3 Dunlin & 1 Common Sandpiper, Lagoon 4, also 9+ Green Sandpipers around the reserve, mostly on the Wet Meadow.

Monday 9th

Rutland Water: Spotted Redshank, 2 Greenshanks, 4 Dunlin, 3 Common Sandpipers, 8 Green Sandpipers & 6+ Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4, also 9 Black-tailed Godwits flew over late afternoon; 1 Dunlin, North Arm; 1 Green Sandpiper, Wet Meadow.

Sunday 8th

Rutland Water: 7 Avocets, 2 Greenshanks, 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin & 3 Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4.

Saturday 7th

Eyebrook Res: 2 Common Sandpipers on the tern raft.

Friday 6th

Rutland Water: 2 Little Terns flew east over Lagoon 4 at 14:45, also Wood Sandpiper, 2 Ruff & 2 Green Sandpipers.

Thornton Res: 14 Common Scoters (12 males) this evening.

Frolesworth Manor Lake: drake Red-crested Pochard this morning.

Thursday 5th

Rutland Water: 14 Black-tailed Godwits & 1 Ruff, Lagoon 4.

Albert Village Tip: adult Med Gull this afternoon.

Wednesday 4th

Rutland Water: immature Spoonbill North Arm; Wood Sandpiper, 3 Ruff, 2 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, Marsh Harrier Lagoon 4; 1 Green Sandpiper, Lagoon 1.

Tuesday 3rd

Rutland Water: immature Spoonbill still on the Wet Meadow also 4 Green Sandpiper.

Monday 2nd

Rutland Water: immature Spoonbill on the Wet Meadow from Snipe Hide mid morning also 3 Ringed Plover, 2 Green Sandpiper and 1 Common Sandpiper; Lagoon 4, 6 Curlew, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Ringed Plover; Lagoon 1, 2 Black-tailed Godwit.

Sunday 1st

Rutland Water: Spoonbill on the Wet Meadow from Snipe Hide, 11:40 at least, then on Lagoon 4 mid-afternoon. Common Sandpiper, Lagoon 4; Marsh Harrier, Lagoon 3.

Cossington Meadows: female Redstart in hedge between Moor and Lower Moor.

Thornton Reservoir: 8 Common Sandpiper on the dam.
